First illuminated image of the lunar surface

Image
Here is the first ever illuminated image of the lunar surface acquired by #Chandrayaan2 ’s Imaging Infrared Spectrometer ( IIRS ) payload. IIRS is designed to measure reflected sunlight from the lunar surface in narrow and contiguous spectral channels. Please have a look-- Chandrayaan2 is one the biggest mission of team ISRO. Chandrayaan-2 is India's second lunar exploration mission after Chandrayaan-1. Developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation, the mission was launched from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre on 22 July 2019 at 2.43 PM IST to the Moon by a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III. Mission:Nasaicon

Mission NASAICON is sheduled to be air-launched at 9:30pm ET on 9 Oct by PEGASUS XL rocket to study the region where our weather from below meets space weather above . The mission, delayed from 2017, aims to understand how solar wind and other space weather phenomena interact with the  ionosphere , a layer of Earth's upper atmosphere that begins 62 miles (100 kilometers) up. image source:NASA

Charged particles on moon!

Image
Chandrayaan2 orbiter detected charged particles and it's intensity variations during it's first passage through the *geotail. Geotail- Geotail is a satellite observing the Earth's magnetosphere. It was developed by Japan's ISAS in association with the United States' NASA, and was launched by a Delta II rocket on July 24, 1992. Geotail  provides information about the way the magnetic envelope surrounding Earth, called the magnetosphere, responds to incoming material and energy from the Sun.   image source:Isro (Chandrayaan-2 is India's second lunar exploration mission after Chandrayaan-1.
