 Space Exploration Technologies Corp., doing business as SpaceX, is a private American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. It was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk .

Established in 1975 and headquartered in Paris, ESA has a worldwide staff of about 2,200 in 2018 and an annual budget of about €5.72 billion in 2019. The  International Space Station  ( ISS ) is a  space station  (habitable  artificial satellite ) in  low Earth orbit . The  ISS programme  is a joint project between five participating space agencies:  NASA  ( United States ),  Roscosmos  ( Russia ),  JAXA  ( Japan ),  ESA ( Europe ), and  CSA  ( Canada ). The ownership and use of the space station is established by intergovernmental treaties and agreements.
