Planet Earth in all its natural splendor

Image
Luka Parmitano of ESA( European Space Agency)captured  our beautiful planet Earth in all its natural splendor, from 250 miles above. He is currently living and working on ISS(international space station) The European Space Agency is an intergovernmental organisation of 22 member states dedicated to the exploration of space. Established in 1975 and headquartered in Paris, ESA has a worldwide staff of about 2,200 in 2018 and an annual budget of about €5.72 billion in 2019. The  International Space Station  ( ISS ) is a  space station  (habitable  artificial satellite ) in  low Earth orbit . The  ISS programme  is a joint project between five participating space agencies:  NASA  ( United States ),  Roscosmos  ( Russia ),  JAXA  ( Japan ),  ESA ( Europe ), and  CSA  ( Canada ). The ownership and use of the space station is established by intergovernmental treaties and agreements.

Launch of Antares

Image
The Cygnus cargo craft from @NorthropGrumman lifted off on time nov 2 at 9:59am ET from @NASA_Wallops in Virginia to resupply the Exp 61 crew with over four tons of science, supplies and hardware early Monday. Antares, known during early development as Taurus II, is an expendable launch system developed by Orbital Sciences Corporation and the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau to launch the Cygnus spacecraft to the International Space Station as part of NASA's COTS and CRS programs. The  Cygnus  spacecraft is a single-use American automated cargo spacecraft developed by Orbital Sciences and now built and launched by Northrop Grumman as part of  NASA 's Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) developmental program. image sourcs:NASA

Argon at Moon 👀😲😲😲!!!

Image
Team ISRO have found Argon gas at the atmosphere of moon.ISRO's CHANDRAYAAN-2 mission launches orbiter in moon's orbit. CHACE-2 payload aboard the Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter  detected argon gas in the atmosphere. It is at the altitude of approx. 100 km.It is Argon-40 in lunar exophere. (Chandrayaan-2 is India's second lunar exploration mission after Chandrayaan-1. Developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation, the mission was launched from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre on 22 July 2019 at 2.43 PM IST to the Moon by a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III.) orbiter lander pragyan rover

First illuminated image of the lunar surface

Here is the first ever illuminated image of the lunar surface acquired by #Chandrayaan2 ’s Imaging Infrared Spectrometer ( IIRS ) payload. IIRS is designed to measure reflected sunlight from the lunar surface in narrow and contiguous spectral channels. Please have a look-- Chandrayaan2 is one the biggest mission of team ISRO. Mission:Nasaicon

Image
Mission NASAICON is sheduled to be air-launched at 9:30pm ET on 9 Oct by PEGASUS XL rocket to study the region where our weather from below meets space weather above . The mission, delayed from 2017, aims to understand how solar wind and other space weather phenomena interact with the  ionosphere , a layer of Earth's upper atmosphere that begins 62 miles (100 kilometers) up. image source:NASA

Charged particles on moon!

Image
Chandrayaan2 orbiter detected charged particles and it's intensity variations during it's first passage through the *geotail. Geotail- Geotail is a satellite observing the Earth's magnetosphere. It was developed by Japan's ISAS in association with the United States' NASA, and was launched by a Delta II rocket on July 24, 1992. Geotail  provides information about the way the magnetic envelope surrounding Earth, called the magnetosphere, responds to incoming material and energy from the Sun.   image source:Isro (Chandrayaan-2 is India's second lunar exploration mission after Chandrayaan-1.
